Rotarian of the Quarter
Adam Moffett was awarded Rotarian of the Quarter for Oct-Dec 2022 along with a well-deserved Paul Harris – Adam consistently helps with backpack deliveries to Manzano Mesa Elementary School. Adam is always ready to lend a helping hand to our Rotary projects.
New Signage at the Sheraton
Sandy Rausch, Public Image Chair, presented the club with the new “Del Norte Rotary Meets Here “ Hotel sign.
Thank You to Our Waitstaff
As is our tradition during our last meeting of the year, we “passed the hat” for donations to benefit our hotel servers who attend to us during our meetings throughout the year. This year we collected $500. Well done Del Norte Rotary!
Quarter to Four
Thanks to Maureen Anderson, we were serenaded by the very talented quartet, “Quarter to Four”. They certainly put us into the holiday spirit
The Grand Finale
Our grand finale, also organized and led by Maureen Anderson, was a rousing New Mexico rendition of “The Twelve Days of Christmas – New Mexico Style”! With expert piano accompaniment by Ruth Ronan, our club members showcased their “singing chops” and proved that most of us can carry a tune!! Another Del Norte tradition!!
S.A.F.E. House Holiday Party
On December 10, our Del Norte Rotary Clubhosted a Holiday Party for the residents of S.A.F.E. House. This is a Domestic Violence Shelter serving Albuquerque and surrounding communities. It was a great success, attended by over 75 children and their families. We funded this event through our leftover money from the Thanksgiving baskets. Thanks again to all who donated and volunteered their time and energy to this event.
Del Norte's Holiday Party
Thanks to the Club Service Committee and its committee director, Sherri Wells, for organizing a fun and entertaining Del Norte Rotary Holiday Party held at the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History on December 11. Thanks also go to Hass Aslami, owner of Chello Grill, for catering a delicious menu for this event.

Good Bye 2022
Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season filled with quality family time, peace, joy, warmth, and plenty of good cheer!
As we head into the second half of this Rotary year, I look forward to seeing you at our weekly meetings. The host club continues to meet the second and fourth Wednesday and the satellite club meets the first and third Wednesday of each month. Plus, we have plenty of fun and exciting socials planned in the next few weeks.
The Rotary International theme for January is Vocational Service, and our Vocational Committee will be hosting the Del Norte Rotary Trade Show on January 25th at the Sheraton. This popular event will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about our members businesses and how they are using their unique skills and expertise to address community needs. We need to continue to attract new members and grow our club. I understand there will be a door prize drawing for a lucky non-Rotarian, so I encourage you to bring a guest or two for this event.
I am so proud to be serving as your President, and together we are making a positive impact in our community and the world. Imagine what Del Norte Rotary will do in 2023!
